Liminal animals are all animals that live freely in urban space. Because their habitat has been profoundly modified by urbanization and our way of life, animals that live in cities are distinguished from wild or domestic animals; this is why they are called “liminal animals.” Pigeons, rats, rabbits… there are many liminal animals that coexist with us. They are despised and even killed.
