Pigs are highly intelligent, friendly, family-orientated beings, yet over 10,000,000 are slaughtered in the UK every year at a small fraction of their natural lifespan, with even more imported. The majority of these are crammed into overcrowded intensive factory farms, living out their short lives on hard floors, unstimulated and unable to live out their natural behaviours.
