Please join the Animal Defense and Anti-Vivisection Society (ADAV) along with PETA supporters to protest Harvard University for its horrific maternal and sensory deprivation experiments on monkeys.

Margaret Livingstone, a Harvard Medical School experimenter, will have one of her research papers presented at the NeurIPS Conference, which means advocates must show up to oppose her horrific experiments on monkeys. Livingstone has spent her entire 40-year career tormenting animals, including by tearing baby monkeys away from their mothers and making sure they never see a human or monkey face for up to a year—just to see how badly it damages their brain and visual development. She forces some to wear goggles with shutters that rapidly open and close mimicking constantly flashing strobe lights for a year and a half. Other infants are often reared by staff wearing welding masks so that the animals never see a face; monkey or human. She has even sewn shut the eyes of some of the baby monkeys. Livingstone then immobilizes her helpless victims by surgically implanting a steel post in their head, strapping their chin tightly, or forcing them to bite down on a bar. After years of this torment, she kills many of the monkeys and dissects their brains. Harvard must shut down Livingstone’s lab permanently!
