Sterling Heights, MI: Protest for Animals Trapped in Petting Zoo

Please join local PETA supporters to speak up for animals abused at a pop-up petting zoo in Sterling Heights! Petting zoos are extremely stressful for young animals, who are transported to events, and may be subject to irregular feeding and watering, inadequate veterinary care, and stressful environments. They are then forced to interact with loud or overwhelming crowds, which adds even more stress and causes potential mishandling. When the animals are too old to be taken to events, they are sometimes killed. Petting zoos are also known to spread diseases and bacteria such as E. coli. Fall festivals should drop petting zoos and choose animal-friendly, family-friendly activities.
