On December 6, animal rights activist Wayne Hsiung was convicted of "larceny" for rescuing a sick baby goat named Rain from a goat "meat" farm in North Carolina. When Wayne found Rain, he had contracted lice and pneumonia from the squalid and neglectful conditions of the farm. Yet, when police arrived, they did not arrest the farm owner for this abuse. Instead, they arrested Wayne for doing the decent thing: giving medical aid to someone who badly needed it. That raises the question: should it be illegal to help an animal in danger? We say no. Join us to urge our government to pass a right to rescue now!
