Protest Foie Gras in Austin, TX

Join us in protesting the cruel production of foie gras! In this industry, male ducks are force-fed twice daily, and geese up to three times a day, in a process called “gavage.” This involves workers forcing pipes down their throats to pump up to 4 pounds of grain and fat into their stomachs. This cruel practice causes their livers to swell up to 10 times their normal size, making it difficult for the birds to stand. Out of extreme stress, many birds tear out their own feathers and even attack each other.
