Pig Save Vigil

Melbourne Animal Save is holding a vigil for pigs at Diamond Valley Pork slaughterhouse in Laverton. This vigil will take place on Sunday 15th October from 10am-12:00 midday.

PLEASE NOTE: In accordance with The Save Movement's updated safety guidelines, please be advised that volunteers are to stay at the meeting point (on Raymond Road) until the safety marshall arrives. At no point should any volunteer wander on their own either before or after a vigil, to any other location around the facility. It has been brought to our attention that some volunteers have stayed after a vigil and had interactions with staff at the facility that are not in accordance with the Save Code of Conduct. Please be sure to wait at the designated meeting point until the safety marshall arrives and depart promptly at the conclusion of the vigil. It is imperative that vigil attendees follow the guidelines to ensure we can continue running our monthly vigils in a safe and respectful manner.
