Meetup: A Sonoma County History of Cruelty & Rescue

From DxE’s first open rescue in 2014, saving Mei Hua from a “cage-free” hell, to historic mass open rescues at massive factory farms a few years later, to the boldest animal protection legislation ever on the ballot last year, DxE has spent a decade in Sonoma County pushing the boundaries of what is considered possible in the animal rights movement. We’ve learned so much from testing different strategies and tactics, and from the animals we’ve met along the way and the humans whose hearts they’ve changed. This meetup will look back at our decade of bold activism in Sonoma County and some of the biggest things we’ve learned, as we get ready for the Perdue Rescue Trial starting September 15th in Santa Rosa!
