Free Billy Protest

Following our beautiful and solemn candlelight vigil for the elephants last Saturday at the LA Zoo, we will be back raising our voices for Billy and Tina this coming Sunday!

We shouldn't be having to do this in 2025: kidnapping and holding species far from their native lands, or breeding them for the purpose of captivity, all in the name of profit is shockingly unethical, immoral and just plain wrong. Small children can see the truth of this when their parents drag them to the zoo! How many kids' eyes have opened by seeing the pain plainly written on the faces, in the demeanors, of the elephants as they trudge around their small enclosures, as they sway back and forth, bobbing their heads in the grips of zoochosis? This is the real education of the zoo.
