Free Billy Protest

SUNDAY, March 16 from 10 to noon is our next protest for Billy and Tina, the surviving elephants at the Los Angeles Zoo. In the last 2 years the zoo has unalived two of its four captive ellies. Jewel and Shaunzi never made it out to the healing power of sanctuary; they never felt the relief of soft lush ground again under their zoo-damaged feet; they never got to wander where they wanted, foraging on wild grass, flowers and trees; they never got a chance to chose new elephant friends; they were never givenn a reason to trumpet with joy and the beauty of life.
