SUMMARY:Washington\, DC: Protest Against Experiments on Animals!
DTSTAMP:20261107T030701Z
DTSTART:20261116T163000Z
DTEND:20261116T173000Z
DESCRIPTION:Please join local PETA supporters outside the venue for the Soc
iety for Neuroscience annual meeting\, where many animal experimenters wil
	l gather. \nRight now\, millions of mice\, rats\, rabbits\, primates\, cat
s\, dogs\, and other animals are locked inside cages in laboratories acros
s the country. They languish in pain\, ache with loneliness\, and are depr
ived of everything that’s natural and important to them. \nAmong them are
monkeys imprisoned in the laboratory of Elizabeth Buffalo\, a notorious vi
visector at the Washington National Primate Research Center\, whose labora
tory has infected\, tormented\, and killed monkeys\; wasted taxpayer dolla
rs\; repeatedly violated the federal Animal Welfare Act\; and failed the s
cientific community. \nThousands of primates have died at the University o
f Washington’s primate center. Some monkeys were strangled\, starved\, or
mauled to death. Others choked on their own vomit\, had their limbs mangle
d\, were given the wrong drugs\, or died from uncontrolled diarrheal disea
ses. \nWe need to stop cruel animal experiments immediately! Will you join
us at this protest?\nHere are the details:\nWHEN: Monday\, November 16\,
	2026\; 11:30am – 1pm ET\nWHERE: Walter E. Washington Convention Center - 8
01 Allen Y. Lew Place NW\, Washington\, DC 20001 (Please see map here: ht
	tps://maps.app.goo.gl/bo7BLUbqG9q2dp9S9 )\nCONTACT: Saiju\, SGangadharan@p
eta.org\nWe have a required dress code! Please dress sharply in business o
r professional attire and wear close-toed shoes. We must ensure that the f
ocus remains on the animals without any distractions that could shift peop
le’s attention.\nAll materials\, such as posters and leaflets\, will be pr
ovided.\nPlease refrain from bringing dogs\, as there might not be a comfo
rtable place for them to lie down during the protest.\nOutreach events are
a fun and effective way to help animals and meet local advocates\, so be
	sure to invite others!\n
