DESCRIPTION:Join our outreach at the Ventura Pet & Reptile Expo\, a cruel e
vent where countless animals are exploited for display and sale to the pub
lic!\nIt is a known fact that animal sales increase the burden on already
overwhelmed shelters and rescues. What’s not well-known to the public is t
hat reptiles and amphibians are sentient beings who also feel pain and a w
ide range of emotions\, just like our common companion animals. At the exp
o\, animals are packed into tiny plastic containers and denied basic needs
while being harassed and stared at all day. They’re also auctioned off li
ke inanimate objects so breeders can make more profits. It’s absolutely he
artbreaking and must be stopped!\n When: SUN\, 11/8\, 1-3pm\nMeet at: Vent
ura County Fairgrounds\, Anacapa Hall\n10 West Harbor Blvd\, Ventura\, CA
93001\n Parking: Free residential parking at 300 Paseo De Playa\, Ventura.
$10 on site.\n Signs and leaflets will be provided\n Please refrain from
bringing dogs as there may not be shade or a safe place for them to lie do
wn during the outreach.\nSee you in Ventura! Don't forget to sign IDA's an
imal sales ban petitions (links in discussion) and share them with others!
