SUMMARY:Dallas: Protest for Animals Abused by Moslah Shrine
DTSTAMP:20261101T204039Z
DTSTART:20261106T213000Z
DTEND:20261106T230000Z
DESCRIPTION:Please join PETA and local animal advocates in a peaceful prote
st to urge the Moslah Shriners to drop animal acts from their circus.\nAni
mals used in circuses live under the constant threat of being hit with wea
pons like whips and sharp steel-tipped bullhooks to force them to perform
and give rides. Video footage shows the head trainer for Carson & Barnes C
ircus—which has provided the cruel elephant act for the Moslah Shrine Circ
us—instructing trainers to sink bullhooks into the elephants’ flesh and tw
ist them until they scream. Carson & Barnes’ appallingly long history of a
nimal abuse also includes citations for nearly 150 citations for violation
s of the federal Animal Welfare Act. \nAcross the country\, venues\, commu
nities\, and states have prohibited or restricted animal acts\, while majo
r circuses have gone animal-free\, recognizing that people don’t want to s
ee animals subjected to a lifetime of confinement\, coercion\, and sufferi
	ng.\nContrary to a common misconception\, ticket sales aren’t charitable d
onations: the profits are generally used to maintain the club’s premises a
nd fund its activities.\nJoin us to urge the Moslah Shriners to drop anima
l acts from their circuses\, and encourage everyone to stay away from circ
uses that use animals.\nWe will be protesting every circus show from Nov.
6-8 at the NYTEX Sports Centre. Please see the protest times below. \nFrid
	ay\, November 6 at 3:30pm & 6:30pm \nSaturday\, November 7 at 10:00am\, 2:
	00pm & 6:00pm\nSunday\, November 8 at 12:00pm & 4:00pm\nI hope you can joi
	n us!
