SUMMARY:Tell Queen’s University NOT to Kill Its Lab Dogs or Cats!
DTSTAMP:20261022T012843Z
DTSTART:20261107T160000Z
DTEND:20261107T180000Z
DESCRIPTION:Ontario has officially passed a historic law banning most invas
ive medical research on dogs and cats! Because labs can no longer conduct
most invasive medical research on dogs and cats once the law takes effect
on January 1\, 2027\, they must give surviving animals a second chance at
life. \nAnimal Justice is aware of at least six labs in Ontario that have
recently experimented on dogs or cats. \nWe wrote to these labs\, urging t
hem to have compassion and commit to rehoming any dogs and cats before the
January 1 deadline\, and offered to help. Many refused to meet\, or to co
mmit to a rehoming plan.\nNow\, animal advocates are taking action! We're
organizing protests across Ontario to demand that these labs rehome surviv
ing dogs and cats instead of killing them.\nJoin us at Queen’s University
to urge decision makers to commit to a rehoming plan. With multiple rescue
groups already prepared to house dogs and cats from these labs\, there is
no excuse for them not to do the right thing.\nThis landmark provincial b
an was won after Animal Justice exposed secret dog cardiac experiments at
St. Joseph’s Hospital in London\, Ontario. \nJoin us at Queen’s University
on November 7 to make sure every lab dog and cat possible gets placed int
	o a loving home!\nBanner Photo: Nucro-Technics’ Lab\, Last Chance for Anim
