DESCRIPTION:PETA and Pro Animal Future are working to ensure that voters sa
y YES on Initiative 86\, which would end the sale of cruelly produced foie
gras in Washington\, DC. If passed\, this landmark measure would represen
t a major step forward for animals and send a strong message that cruelty
to ducks and geese has no place in our community. \nWe need a strong prese
nce at polling locations across the city on Election Day. There are 75 pol
ling stations in DC\, and we are aiming to have volunteers at as many loca
tions as possible throughout the busiest times of day. To accomplish this\
, we need all hands on deck & everyone who can participate to sign up for
a shift to help us reach voters before they cast their ballots. \nWe will
provide all demonstration materials and guidance. Your support will make a
tremendous difference. The stronger our presence\, the greater our chance
of saving more lives by getting Initiative 86 passed. \nPlease see detail
	s below: \nWhen: Tuesday\, November 3\, 2026 \nAvailable Shifts: 7:00 a.m.
	 – 9:30 a.m.\, 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.\, 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. \nWhere: Pol
ling places throughout Washington\, DC\nContact Shana Webb at SWebb@peta.o
rg for more information and to sign up for a shift and polling station. \n
Each volunteer will need to pick up a sign at 1536 16th St NW\, Washington
DC 20036. There will be coffee and bagels provided in the morning and lun
ch provided in the afternoon. \nPLEASE READ: Please dress sharply. We must
ensure that the focus remains on the animals without any distractions tha
	t could shift people’s attention.
