SUMMARY:Eastpointe\, MI: Protest for Animals Trapped in Petting Zoo
DTSTAMP:20261015T220945Z
DTSTART:20261031T210000Z
DTEND:20261031T230000Z
DESCRIPTION:Please join local PETA supporters to speak up for animals abuse
d at a pop-up petting zoo in Eastpointe on Halloween! Petting zoos are ext
remely stressful for young animals\, who are transported to events\, and m
ay be subject to irregular feeding and watering\, inadequate veterinary ca
re\, and stressful environments. They are then forced to interact with lou
d or overwhelming crowds\, which adds even more stress and causes potentia
l mishandling. When the animals are too old to be taken to events\, they a
re sometimes killed. Petting zoos are also known to spread diseases and ba
cteria such as E. coli. Halloween should be fun for everyone\, including t
	he animals in our community.\nDETAILS:\nWHEN: Saturday\, October 31st\, 5–
	7 p.m. EDT\nWHERE: 19300 Stephens\, Eastpointe\, MI 48021 (please see this
map: https://maps.app.goo.gl/2FPFm6F5UkknMzdg6 )\nCONTACT: Karen at resc
ue525rabbits@yahoo.com\nPosters will be provided.\nPlease refrain from bri
nging dogs\, as there might not be a comfortable place for them to lie dow
n during the protest\, and their presence may upset the other animals.\nWe
	 hope to see you there!
