DESCRIPTION:Will you join us to increase the public voice and maintain our
demands to the NSW Minns/Harris Labor State Government on behalf of all t
he exploited racing greyhounds\, calling for the government to 'shut it do
wn'?\nStand with us to demand an end to the commercial greyhound industry
at the last ever Million Dollar Chase event at the Wentworth Park death
track!\nRally with us to make sure GRNSW\, GWIC\, the gambling companies
and every supporter of this disgraceful industry knows that we will not be
silent\, and we will not rest until this industry is shut down once and f
	or all. \nWhen: Friday 16 October 14 2026 at 5pm\nWhere: Millard Reserve\,
Wentworth Park\nWorldwide\, we are seeing track after track close\, and m
ore and more countries finally legislating a ban.\nWe know this gambling
fuelled\, dog killing commercial greyhound racing industry can’t be reform
ed and it can’t be regulated either. They’ve had decades and the publicly
funded NSW Regulator\, the Greyhound Welfare & Integrity Commission (GWIC)
has been operating since 2018 and has continued to fail greyhounds and ha
s continued to fail us too.\nIn NSW we’ve seen the continuation of shocki
ng scandals - the ongoing GWIC Final Disciplinary Outcomes investigations
into GRNSW participants\, the Drake report\, serious allegations about the
internal culture of GWIC and GWIC’s Chief Commissioner Alby Taylor being
removed from office following an investigation into alleged workplace misb
ehaviour.\nMore recently we’ve seen the damning results from the NSW Audit
or General’s report into GWIC\, which found:\nLack of Industry-Wide Oversi
ght \nInefficient Case Management \nAbsence of Performance Frameworks \nOp
erational and Safety Deficiencies \nEvery week greyhounds are being overbr
ed and discarded or sent interstate or overseas. Dogs are still being drug
ged and a growing unknown number of dogs are unaccounted for. These dogs a
re left to suffer in kennels with untreated injuries and living an isolate
d and unnatural life. They are still being injured and killed on death tra
cks or transferred off track to be killed elsewhere. Greyhounds are suffer
ing in kennels and on tracks across NSW\, Australia and around the world.\
nMeanwhile our elected governments’ continue to excuse and prop up this in
dustry\, protecting the industry and gambling companies who all grow rich
and powerful from the exploitation of these gentle dogs.\nJoin us\, alongs
ide a number of compassionate MPs who will be speaking at the rally includ
ing:\nMC Greens Cl Matthew Thompson\, City of Sydney Council \nCl Yvonne W
eldon\, City of Sydney Council - Welcome to Country\nKylie Field (NSW Dire
ctor\, Coalition for the Protection of Greyhounds) \nKobi Shetty (Greens N
SW Member for Balmain) \nMehreen Faruqi (Greens Senator)\nEmma Hurst (NSW
Animal Justice Party MLC)\nAbigail Boyd (Greens NSW MLC)\nAnna Hall\, (Pre
sident\, Animal Liberation) \nJoin us after the rally at Mama B’s for dinn
er to celebrate the end of greyhound racing at Wentworth Park and to refle
ct and renew our commitment to end this industry globally. \nMama B’s - 87
	-93 Abercrobie Street Chippendale\, NSW\, 2008\, dogs are welcome!\nIt’s t
ime for us to come together and demand an immediate end to this government
sanctioned abuse. We need a huge crowd of compassionate and loud dog love
rs to join us to demand urgent change.\nPlease note\, this is a police-app
roved peaceful rally\, and by attending\, you agree to respecting\, listen
ing to and following instructions from designated safety marshals\, behavi
ng responsibly\, and maintaining a calm and respectful atmosphere.\nTogeth
er\, let's ensure this event remains peaceful and productive for the greys
	.\n
