DESCRIPTION:Please join local PETA supporters to protest Petco for selling 
	birds and other animals\, following a breaking investigation that revealed
	 extreme animal suffering at a bird breeder with connections to Petco.\nA 
	PETA investigator who worked undercover at Creekside Birds\, a parakeet-br
	eeding factory in Oklahoma that sells birds into Petco’s supply chain\, co
	nfines approximately 10\,000 birds in filthy wire cages stacked from the f
	loor to the ceiling. Birds were deprived of veterinary care\, seriously in
	jured\, sometimes left to die\, or killed in horrifically violent ways. A 
	senior worker killed birds by crushing their necks between his fingers\, s
	lamming them against the ground\, and even ripping their heads off before 
	tossing them in the woods. Most cages at Creekside haven’t been cleaned in
	 years\, and the sensitive birds had no escape from filthy wire prisons ca
	ked with waste and feces that piled into what an owner called “poop towers
	.” Workers boasted that they shot and killed escaped parakeets with a BB g
	un\, while others were left to die of exposure or predator attacks.\nDeath
	 was rampant and routine at Creekside. In just over five weeks\, workers f
	ound nearly 1\,400 birds dead—sometimes 100 or more in a single day. The r
	emains of dead birds were often overlooked and left to decompose in cages.
